Celebrate Halloween With Disney!

Halloween is more than a month away, but you can get into the holiday spirit early by visiting your favorite Disney theme park. Every year, Halloween kicks off three months of fall and winter celebrations that run through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Eve at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Below are some of the fantastic ways to experience this very special, spooooky holiday with Disney.

Haunted Mansion Holiday – Every September, the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland and Tokyo Disneyland gets a dramatic seasonal makeover courtesy of Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas. In Haunted Mansion Holiday, two holidays collide when Jack Skellington, Sally, and Oogie Boogie take over the Haunted Mansion and decorate it for Christmas, Jack’s new favorite holiday. The Haunted Mansion will feature the seasonal overlay through the end of the year and is scheduled to return to normal again in January. See pictures of the transformation here!

It may not have a seasonal makeover, but be sure to check out the Haunted Mansion at Walt Disney World to experience the brand new interactive line queue which was unveiled earlier this year. The spooky queue features humorous epitaphs, interactive tombs and a ghostly mystery to solve.

Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy – In 2009, two years after it first appeared at Hong Kong Disneyland, Disneyland, CA debuted a new, extraterrestrial-inspired storyline for Space Mountain. In “Ghost Galaxy”, the journey begins as usual, but the voyage goes awry and the travelers are launched into a haunted section of the universe where they are threatened by ghostly phenomenon at every turn. Creepy music and sound effects enhance the experience, and the new adventure is so scary that it comes with a disclaimer that the ride may be too frightening for children – just in time for the holidays!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party – At the Magic Kingdom, Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a fun and spooooky event for kids of all ages. The party runs from 7pm to midnight on select nights (September 13th through November 1st) and requires special admission tickets. Guests are encouraged to dress up in their favorite Halloween costumes and trick-or-treat throughout the park.
