Disney’s Pixie Hollow is No More
Blogging Disney has featured the world of Pixie Hollow on three previous occasions.
In August 2011, I blogged about the Disney Fairies Magazine and the Disney Fairies Fly mobile app: Tinker Bell and Disney Fairies Magazine.
In September 2011, I promoted the TV premiere and home video release of the Pixie Hollow Games movie with links to online games and contests. Pixie Hollow Games, Contests, and More!
And in July 2013, I gave a detailed review of one of my favorite Disney apps: Disney Fairies Fashion Boutique.

Fans of the Disney Fairies franchise have always known the world of Tinker Bell and her friends is more than just movies, magazines and mobile apps: it’s a vast multiplayer online universe where you can create your own fairy avatar, play games, design fashions and interact with thousands of other Tinker Bell fans.
Err, well…it used to be, anyway.
As it happens, Disney shut down the Pixie Hollow online world in September 2013, just two months after I raved about the Disney Fairies Fashion Boutique app (which I came THISCLOSE to spending real $$$ playing). But on September 19th, Pixie Hollow vanished, and along with it, the Disney Fairies Fashion Boutique app.

What about Disney Fairies Fly and the Disney Fairies Magazine? Are they still around? Nope. All gone. Poof. It’s as if they never existed.
Of course, Disney can delete Pixie Hollow from the internet and remove the games from the App Store, but my blog posts are still online. I didn’t even know Disney purged the Disney Fairies universe until I received several comments from readers who couldn’t find the Fashion Boutique in the App Store. The comments were from angry Fairies fans who loved the fashion boutique app but couldn’t download it on new devices and were unable to recover the game after accidentally deleting the original download.
As a Fashion Boutique fan, the frustrations of other gamers inspired me to investigate the vanishing app. The internet isn’t always the easiest place to find things that no longer exist, but after a fair amount of Googling, I found an FAQ explaining Disney’s purge of Pixie Hollow and its related apps.
Unfortunately, the FAQ page is a JPG image, making it inaccessible to screen readers and devices without image support, and the text can’t be read and indexed by search engines. To help the distraught Fairies fans who come to Blogging Disney looking for answers, I’ve copied Disney’s official FAQ below.

Pixie Hollow accounts have now been automatically closed, and can no longer be accessed.
Guests with paid Memberships should have received an email with information about their Membership including refund details. If you have any additional billing-related questions, please contact us at billing@pixiehollow.com or (877) 787-4943. Billing support will no longer be available after November 18, 2013.
Disney Fairies Fashion Boutique has also been removed from the App Store as of September 19, 2013.

I played this game when I was very young (I’m 13 now) and I loved this game I would play it and have fun but Disney has focuses on other crappy games pixie hollow will be missed

I miss my friends so much, this game was my escape from reality and I made really good friends who I still check up on till this day. Joined in 08 when I was like 11 years old and I still think about it today. It’s crazy how I still think about Ella, Boots, and Emma, so many more friends who I can’t remember. I loved the game so much. I really really liked it to be honest even though I am 17 and used to play when I was 13-15ish. Absolutely wonderful because the chat helped us connect and have childish fun. I wish it could come back online. it was le bomb haha.
I miss it too. Disney made a mistake. Pixie Hollow was amazing and I still scour the internet regularly with hope. It also disappoints me that not only have they closed such an awesome game I loved so much, but it’s existence has been wiped from the internet along with a number of sites, apps and games. Nothing will ever come close to Pixie Hollow and after 3 years I doubt ill let it go any time soon. *Hunger Games whistle- live long and prosper gesture* *cries*

The thing I don’t get is club penguin has more swearing than PH and adult stuff happens sometimes. Why close PH but not club penguin….
Fairy ABC is having its first major crisis as the foul mouth adults who were famous for swearing on Disneys PH are now doing it on ABC. Life is not complete unless you can swear your way through it ruining it for other decent people who just love Pixie Hollow. The low life of the world always spoil things for the rest of us.
Disney did have a plan to close PH but we will never know if that plan was on schedule or moved up due to many other issues.
Disney must have had a reason for shutting it down that they can’t tell the public. Notice how they try to divert attention to other Disney games but don’t just come out and say exactly why Pixie Hollow was closed? I did hear there was some inappropriate talk and actions that didn’t fit a Disney, G-rated game. However, I do think it could be reconfigured to have a lot of the things fans loved and still keep it safe. Discontinue interaction with other players but add episode-type choose your own adventure games you can play with your own created fairy, and updated graphics so there are more options while creating your fairy so they look more like the Disney movie graphics.

The au after .com means Australia and that has been up since 2013.
I recently went on the Disney website trying to create a fairy and it said this, “Dear Guest! The Fairies will return soon! Please come back later to play with your Fairy. Disney Online.” Idk if this means It is fully coming back, But I thought it was interesting.

I agree with dawn. This is what I’m saying. Pixie hollow is gone and your wasting your time complaining to disney. Just enjoy the abc version and wait for it to get better or enjoy other games.
I am afraid Wind Muddles FairyABC is all we are going to get. Disney saves a bundle of money by allowing Wind Muddle to bring Pixie Hollow as long as he makes no money from it. He is allowed to use their material and Disney saves money. The fans get a rough version of Pixie Hollow (which I am sure in time will become better) and Disney does not have to spend a dime its a match made in Heaven. The latest upgrade is really rather good as in each meadow the little gates to the next meadow are now active and you can start decorating your home again. Its all small stuff at the moment with more upgrades to follow. Just a little patience is all that is needed.
Remember Pixie Hollow as done by Disney is never coming back by Disney but is here now by Wind Muddle and you can sit on the side and complain or join in and have some fun again, your choice.

PixieHollow Sure was Beautiful If you search PixieHollow PlayNow or anything like that it will show a PH website that just came out in March2016 Create A Fairy Doesnt work yet.Its a clue! And it shows old info about PixieHollow like login but it doesnt work so. 🙁 Cya around Fairy Pals
